CONCORD, N.C. (April 14, 2024) – Oklahoma’s Terry Easum is the latest to join the stout field of Rookie of the Year contenders with the American Sprint Car Series National Tour in 2024.

He’ll bring his Triple X Chassis/Myers Racing Engines No. 88 on the road for the first time after building his name in the regional ranks.

“I’m ready to see some new tracks and challenge ourselves as a team,” Easum said. “We’ve always enjoyed getting to race outside Oklahoma, so I’m very much looking forward to this.”

Growing up watching his father race Modifieds, Easum’s journey to the cockpit began at 15 years old. He eventually got the opportunity to join Sprint Car veteran Aaron Berryhill on the road. Balancing school and travel, he worked with Berryhill for four seasons and fell in love with Sprint Car racing.

He’s spent a dozen years behind the wheel, building a career of his own, racing regionally with the Oil Capital Racing Series (picking up four wins) and the ASCS Sooner Region. In 2023, he captured five wins in various forms of RaceSaver competition across Oklahoma and Missouri while picking up a pair of ASCS Regional top-10 finishes.

While Rookie of the Year is the goal, consistency is his focus.

"We want to be in the top 10 in points at the end of the year by making sure we are consistently in the top 10 each night,” Easum said. “It’s going to be a lot to learn, but this is how our team gets better.”
