TULSA, Okla. (December 15, 2017) The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region is back in 2018 for the 17th year of competition, and with it, an 18 night lineup of events across the southern half of Texas, along with a special event with the ASCS Mid-South Region in Mississippi.

In all, seven facilities are slated to see competition with Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas and Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas taking the biggest share with four each.

A pair of nights at the Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss. and South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi, Texas will be joined by single night events at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway, Heart O’ Texas Speedway, and RPM Speedway. Three dates are still pending.

The first round of competition is slated for April 7 at Golden Triangle Raceway Park with Jackson Motor Speedway following on April 13 and 14. The season’s first trip to the high-banks of the Battleground Speedway takes place on April 28.

The month of May begins at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway on the first Friday of the month before transitioning back to Golden Triangle Raceway Park on May 19. From the quarter-mile to the half-mile, RPM Speedway will take May 25 with the Devil’s Bowl in action the following night.

June and July will see the series run between Golden Triangle and Battleground with dates in August in the works. Into the month of September, South Texas Speedway will expand from a single night last year to a double-header on September 1 and 2. Two more dates on the lineup will see Golden Triangle Raceway Park on September 15 and finally Battleground Speedway on September 29.

All dates are subject to change with any updates posted to http://www.ascsracing.com. Taking charge of the ASCS Gulf South Region in 2018 is Bruce Griffith, Jr. Any questions on scheduling a show can be directed to Bruce by calling (713) 202-7131.
