Quick Look: 2016 ASCS Labor Day Weekend Lineup

TULSA, Okla. (August 26, 2016) Call if the unofficial end of summer, but Labor Day Weekend is far from the end of the racing season for most. One of the biggest weekends in motorsports, the advantage of having Monday off gives rise to several special events all across the United States, and the American Sprint Car Series is no exception as National and Regional events number seven from September 2 through September 4.

Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour:
AGCO Jackson Nationals – Jackson Motorplex (Jackson, Minn.)

Biggest among the Labor Day lineup of events is the $10,000 to win, 38th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals in Jackson, Minn. with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network. The NSL will be in action on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4.

Having seen the Minnesota oval on five occasions since 2011, the return to Jackson will be the first visit since the half-mile oval was reshaped, and the facility reworked between the 2015 and 2016 season. In the series last trip to the Jackson Motorplex in 2014, Matt Covington picked up the win in the Jackson Nationals to become the fifth different winner in ASCS competition in as many trips to the Minnesota oval.

An overall three day affair with HRA Non-Wing Sprint Cars also in action, each night gets underway at 7:00 P.M with Hot Laps. Tickets for the AGCO Jackson Nationals are on sale at http://www.jacksonmotorplex.com.

Sunday, September 4, 2016: Admission $35, Students (13-18) $15, Kids 12 and under $5.

The 38th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals in Jackson, Minn. is the second time the Lucas Oil ASCS and National Sprint League have joined up as the two series saw action together at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb. on July 30-31, 2015.
