Crawley Scores Lucas Oil ASCS Win at I-30!
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (August 28, 2010) – “Home field advantage” is a term generally reserved for the stick-and-ball sorts, but Tim Crawley offered up some solid evidence that home-track advantage can definitely come into play in Saturday night’s 35-lap Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters main event at I-30 Speedway.

Racing just a few short miles from his Benton, AR, home, the three-time ASCS National champion read some tricky track conditions to perfection and then battled past Brady Bacon on the 13th round en route to his first Lucas Oil ASCS National win of the year.

“We’ve been needing this,” Crawley commented before a raucous, near capacity crowd in victory lane. “To do this here in front of all of y’all, it’s all good.”

Dalman and Howland Take Regional Wins!
TULSA, Okla. (August 28, 2010) - A pair of ASCS Regional events livened up Saturday night's activities with Gregg Dalman keeping his ASCS Sprints on Dirt title hopes alive with a daring pass at Michigan's Owendale Speedway and Bryan Howland making a late move for ASCS Patriot honors at New York's Stateline Speedway.

  •
Hull Handles Lucas Oil ASCS at Tri-City!
PONTOON BEACH, Ill. (August 27, 2010) – Jerrod Hull took full advantage of every little opportunity that presented itself in Friday night’s Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National debut at Tri-City Speedway to pull off a stunning upset victory from the 19th starting position.

The Sikeston, MO, shoe steered clear of some opening lap carnage, snuck by some battling contenders on the low side in the middle portion of the race and then took the lead away from Brian Brown on the 21st circuit before checking out in the final rounds of the 30-lapper for the $6,000 victory, his second career ASCS National triumph and first since a Benton, MO, win on July 4, 1996.

Darland Claims $10K TNT Win in Shuman Classic!

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (August 21, 2010) – Lincoln, Indiana’s Dave Darland became the fourth different winner in as many nights of Sixth Annual Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits Tour ‘N Topless Midwest Swing action by taking the $10,000 winner’s share in Saturday night’s Ron Shuman Classic atop the ½-mile Lakeside Speedway clay oval.

Darland gunned into the lead from the front row outside at the outset in the Goodnight Racing Pallet Builder No. 39 DRC and then withstood a late charge from Robert Ballou in the 30-lapper to secure the prestigious win and the coveted pedal car trophy that goes along with it.

While Darland enjoyed Sprint Bandits TNT victory lane for the third time in his career, it was California native Robert Ballou capturing his second TNT title by virtue of his runner-up finish. Ballou took the title by 26 points over eighth-place finisher Brady Bacon, with Casey Shuman another ten points back in third.

TULSA, Okla. (August 21, 2010) – While Jason Johnson completed a sweep of the weekend's ASCS Gulf South action with a Battleground triumph, a pair of drivers notched first time wins on Saturday night.

Henry Van Dam snared his first ASCS win with a Northwest score at Oregon's Coos Bay Speedway while 17-year-old Dalten Gabbard made the most of his winged Sprint Car debut by topping the ASCS Southwest Region at Tucson's USA Raceway.

The ASCS Patriots, ASCS Sooner Region and ASCS Sprints on Dirt were all rained out on Saturday night.

TULSA, Okla. (August 20, 2010) – Roger Crockett, Dustin Daggett and Jason Johnson each cracked victory lane in Friday night's ASCS Regional action throughout the nation and beyond.

Johnson picked off his tenth overall ASCS win of the year by wiring the Gulf South field in Texas, Crockett added his fifth Northwest win of the season with an Oregon victory and Daggett added his tenth ASCS win of 2010 with a Patriot romp across the border at Ohsweken.

Friday's Sprint Bandits TNT action at Lakeside Speedway was rained out.

Shuman Takes First TNT Win in Husker Nationals

GREENWOOD, Neb. (August 19, 2010) – Casey Shuman captured his first career Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits Tour ‘N Topless feature win by wiring the field in Thursday night’s weather-postponed 30-lap Sixth Annual TNT Husker Nationals championship main event at I-80 Speedway.

Starting from the front row outside, Shuman gunned into the lead at the outset and led all the way to take the $3,000 top share and tighten up the title chase entering the weekend’s $10,000-to-win Ron Shuman Classic at Lakeside Speedway.

“I’ve been trying to get one of these for at least three or four years now,” Shuman explained in victory lane. “I know other people have said this, but I’ve been driving my ass off to get one for my buddy Jesse Hockett and I finally got it.”

  •
Ballou Back on Top of TNT with Sedalia Score!

SEDALIA, Mo. (August 17, 2010) – In a torrid seesaw battle for the 2010 Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits Tour ‘N Topless championship, Robert Ballou recaptured the TNT points lead by winning Tuesday night’s 25-lap feature at the Missouri State Fair Speedway.

Ballou battled past race-long leader Daron Clayton on the 19th round and went on to win the first wingless, 410-ci Sprint Car event atop the historic ½-mile dirt oval since Jack Hewitt graced victory lane in 1993.

Ballou’s fourth series win of the year aboard Dallas Mulvaney’s Don Ott-powered MPHG Promotions No. 81 Triple-X put him seven points ahead of Brady Bacon, who finished third behind Bryan Clauson after Clayton crashed out of contention on what would have been the final lap.
