Rilat Invading ASCS Gulf South Region Doubleheader in Texas This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – FORNEY, Texas (May 2, 2016) – Travis Rilat is seeking his first feature victory in the United States this season as he tackles an ASCS Gulf South Region doubleheader this weekend.
Rilat will compete on Friday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, and on Saturday at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas.
“We’ve had some great runs this season, but we’re still looking to finish it off with a trip to Victory Lane,” he said. “We’ve won in Australia this year so now we need to even things out by winning here in the United States.”
Rilat hasn’t raced at Heart O’ Texas Speedway very often in recent years. His most recent podium finish at the track came in 2011.
“That’s a high-banked track where you need to draw well and have a great handle on your car to put yourself in contention for the win,” he said.
However, Rilat has earned multiple podium finishes at Golden Triangle Raceway Park during each of the past two seasons. He placed third and second, respectively, last season and was second and first, respectively, in 2014.
“It’s been two years since we’ve won at Golden Triangle so this would be a great weekend to get back into the Winner’s Circle,” he said. “We have a team capable of winning a race or two and that’s what we’re aiming for this weekend.”
