Duck River Raceway Park Added To Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints Lineup

TULSA, Okla. (April 14, 2016) The 2016 lineup for the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints has been adjusted as Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, Tenn. has signed on for competition on Saturday, April 30. The addition pair with Friday, April 29 at the Moulton Speedway in Moulton, Ala.
Located just off the banks of the Duck River, the quarter-mile dirt track has been in operation since 1973. Saturday, April 23 will mark the first time the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints have visited the Tennessee oval. The last time sanctioned Sprint Cars were present was 2014 with the USCS which saw Anthony Nicholson in Victory Lane over Terry Gray and Morgan Turpen.
Another change on the 2016 lineup, the Whynot Motorsports Park has been removed from Saturday, April 23. With Whynot dropping their date, the next events for the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints will be April 29 and 30. Looking towards the season’s end, Crossville Raceway in Crossville, Tenn. has been added on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10.
Derek Hagar currently leads the 2016 driver standings with the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints after four nights of competition. Only 41 points behind is Marshall Skinner with defending series champion, Michael Miller, in third. Kyle Amerson and Brian Bell make up the top-five in tour standings.
