Updated 2024 ASCS Sooner Region Lineup Released
CONCORD, N.C. (March 25, 2024) Working as quickly as possible to shore up schedules across all tours of the American Sprint Car Series, after World Racing Group acquired the sanctioning body earlier this month, an updated lineup of events for the ASCS Sooner Region has been released.
The new slate currently has 16 confirmed dates, with four more in the works. The regional tour kicked off this past Saturday night at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., with Washington native Seth Bergman charging from 15th to win the tour’s first visit to the quarter-mile oval this season.
Off during April, the tour resumes with a co-sanctioned affair against the National Tour at RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas, on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4. The following weekend moves into Oklahoma, with the two series again going toe-to-toe at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker on Friday, May 10.
Back at Creek County Speedway on Friday, May 18, the following night will trek north to Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan.
A three night run sets up on Thursday, June 13 with Creek County again on the card, followed by Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Okla. on Friday, June 14, then Lawton Speedway on Saturday, June 15, followed by Elk City Motorsports Park on Saturday, June 22. Two nights at Tulsa Speedway round out the month with shows on Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 29.
Back on track in August, Creek County Speedway will take Friday, August 16, followed by Enid Speedway on Saturday, August 17. The season will wrap up with the Fall Fling on Saturday, October 19, at Creek County Speedway.
Dates marked as TBA include May 11, June 7, June 8, and October 18.
The Sooner Region of the American Sprint Car Series pays a standard $2,000 to win, $300 to start purse with $100 to non-transferring drivers.
