Inside Line Promotions – COBBLE HILL, B.C., Canada (Nov. 20, 2018) – Robbie Price will finish the 2018 season this weekend, competing in the 3rd annual Copper Classic with the ASCS Southwest Region at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz, on Friday and Saturday. The opener will pay $2,000-to-win while the finale carries a $5,000 paycheck for the victor.

“It makes the offseason a little shorter when you get to race later in the year,” he said. “I’ve had a month off so I’m getting a little antsy and am ready to be back at the track and behind the wheel. Getting to race this weekend should hold me over for a little while.”

Price will be piloting the No. 1 car for Casey Minks, who he drove for during the Short Track Nationals in October at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. At that event, the native of Cobble Hill, B.C., moved forward in his heat race both nights and just missed transferring to the main event in the finale by a couple of positions.

“We have a few things to work on from Little Rock, but we weren’t bad there,” he noted. “This gives us an opportunity to improve on things. Hindsight is always 20/20 and after a weekend you see the things you need to do better next time. We’ll change some things up from what we did at Little Rock and hopefully have a lot of speed going into the weekend.”

Price raced in Arizona last November at Cocopah Speedway in Yuma during an event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by and the ASCS Southwest Region.

“Last year it was a tough go of things in Arizona so hopefully I can redeem myself this time,” he shared. “It’s getting a little chilly at home so it will be nice to get down to Arizona and have some warmer weather and be able to race two full nights.”

Price has picked up a pair of victories in micro sprint competition this season and he has 15 top-10 finishes overall, with seven of those being top-five performances in a variety of open wheel starts – mainly in 360ci winged sprint cars.

“The mindset is the same as every time I got to the track and that’s to be competitive and try to win every time you are on the track,” he said. “You definitely want to end the season on a strong note.”
