Inside Line Promotions – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 4, 2015) – Jack Dover closed his 2015 campaign on a sour note last week during the 28th annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals at I-30 Speedway.

“It rained all week and they finally were able to get a race in on Thursday, but it was short-lived for us,” he said.

The four-day Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event was consolidated to one race on Thursday because of poor weather. Unfortunately, the competition ended quickly for Dover, who was caught up in an opening-lap crash during a heat race.

“I started on the inside of the second row and fell to fourth in turns one and two when I drifted up the track,” he said. “When I went into turn three the driver in front of me checked up more than I anticipated he would and I got into him.”

The impact resulted in Dover flipping and destroying his sprint car. He was unable to finish the remainder of the night.

“It was definitely frustrating to end the season like that, but it doesn’t take away from our year,” he said. “We had a lot of highlights and we learned several things that will improve our team for next season.”

Dover finished with 13 feature victories, which marked his fourth straight year with at least 10 wins and the sixth season in the last eight years with double-digit triumphs.
