Wright Secures Speedweek Crown with Lawton Win
LAWTON, Okla. (July 21, 2007) – Gary Wright left no room for doubt about his sixth career ASCS Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek championship by wiring the field in Saturday night's 30-lap O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National feature event before a packed house at Lawton Speedway.

The triumph marked Wright's fourth win in the five legs of the 15th Annual ASCS Speedweek, with a runner-up finish in the other event. Wright took the crown by 52 markers over Tim Crawley, with Wayne Johnson four more points back in third.

It's All Wright in ASCS Speedweek Round Three
MESQUITE, Tex. (July 19, 2007) – With the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series championship chase at full boil, three-time and reigning series champion Gary Wright of Hooks, TX, is stepping up to meet the challenge.

And what better place than Devil's Bowl Speedway for "The Texan" to strengthen his cause, as he completed a sweep of the night's action by wiring the field in Thursday night's 25-lap feature to put the wraps on the third leg of the 15th Annual ASCS Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek.

Stewart Snares Speedweek Redemption at Creek Co.
SAPULPA, Okla. (July 16, 2007)- Darren Stewart has seemingly been carrying a one-hundred pound gorilla on his back over the past year or so.

Stewart finally shook that gorilla off with a win in Round Two of the 15th Annual ASCS Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek at Creek County Speedway on Monday night.

Stewart took over on the 26th of 30 laps and beat Gary Wright, Sean McClelland, Jason Johnson and Jamie Passmore to the line.

Wright On the Money in 500th National Tour Feature
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 14, 2007) - It was a familiar face in victory lane as the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series held its 500th feature in series history at I-30 Speedway on Saturday night, as Gary Wright picked up the win in the opening leg of the 15th Annual ASCS Sizzlin' Summer Speedweek.

Wright held off Wayne Johnson through heavy lapped traffic to take the win, with Travis Rilat racing from 17th to third. After running off the track in the early going, Jason Johnson charged back through the field to claim fourth, with Brian McClelland rounding out the top five.

    Tri-State Speedway Management Cancels Event
TULSA, Okla. (July 3, 2007) – The O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National series has competed in front of a packed house at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK, over each of the past five years. And the series was set to do so once again on Friday night, July 13.

However, new track management partners have opted not to honor contracts already agreed upon between the American Sprint Car Series and Tri-State Speedway, thus forcing the cancellation of the July 13 event.

While several other speedways had expressed interest in the July 13 date, the late decision by Tri-State Speedway management makes it infeasible for any other facility to take the date at such late notice.

The American Sprint Car Series regrets the late cancellation. All complaints should be directed to Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK, at 918-436-2914.
