Bryan Hulbert – SELINSGROVE, Penn. (May 3, 2021) Grabbing his fifth top-ten finish of the season, Dylan Westbrook fought his way to a sixth-place finish with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network at Selinsgrove Speedway.

Only a few laps under his belt at the massive half-mile, Westbrook was pleased right out the gate with the team’s improvements, “Last time I was there, we got the Heats in, and then it rained out, but I was really bad in that Heat Race, so we did something completely different this time, and it worked. The car felt a lot better and got us into the show.”

Working forward from tenth in the Feature, Dylan was pleased with the overall run and a nice rebound from an unfortunate DNF while testing the week before at Knoxville Raceway.

“The way the track is, it’s tough to pass, but we were still fast. We raced with Blake quite a bit but just needed a little more. Still, it was a big improvement over last year.”

Looking ahead to the next outing, the Hills Racing Team No. 47x will be at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich. on Friday, May 7, and Saturday, May 9. The closest Dylan gets on the tour to home, the track is a familiar one for him, stating he has more laps at the Michigan oval than any other on tour.

“I feel good going into this weekend with the experience I do have there. We have good notes, and if I have questions, I can always call Sam [Hafertepe] and kind of lean on him on what he thinks we should do on the setup. That’s a big help at times.”

Dylan Westbrook is a part of the Canadian-based Hills Racing Team. The 2021 season marks the 17th year of racing for Dylan Westbrook. Starting with Dirt Bikes and Go-Karts at age five, Dylan has been behind the wheel of a Sprint Car for seven years. Four championships as Ohsweken Speedway since 2015, Westbrook made the jump to the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network in 2020, earning the Brodix National Rookie of the Year.
