Blake Hahn Rallies At I-30 Speedway

Bryan Hulbert – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (September 18, 2018) Rallying through a B-Feature at I-30 Speedway on Saturday night, Blake Hahn charged from 16th to sixth with at the Ralph Henson Memorial with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products and ASCS Mid-South Region.
“We got a little behind to start, but we got better as the night went on,” commented Hahn.
Drawing the back of the fourth Heat Race, Blake moved from seventh to fifth to set himself up starting second in the second B-Feature. Winning the final consolation race, Blake took his position in the A-Feature outside the eighth row.
“The car was really good in the Features. We were able to run pretty much anywhere we wanted. I’ve always enjoyed racing at I-30, and this weekend we were able to work on some things to get us ready for the Short Track Nationals.”
Up next, Hahn will turn his attention to the 8th annual Hockett/McMillin Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway, happening September 20, 21, and 22 in Wheatland, Mo. For Blake, winning the Hockett would be a career highlight.
“We run really well at Lucas Oil Speedway, but we’ve been snake bit it seems like every time we get to Saturday night. One thing with this past weekend was working on balance in the car, and we found where we had a problem so hopefully, we can finally get us a win in Wheatland.”
The 2018 season is Blake Hahn’s 16th year of racing. Starting in Jr. Sprints at the Tulsa Shootout, Hahn has progressed through the ranks with over 90 victories across Micros, Midgets, and Sprint Cars.
