TULSA, Okla. (June 25, 2014) - The ASCS Southwest Region returns to action on Saturday, June 28 at the three-eighths mile Tucson International Raceway.

The third visit of 2014 to the Arizona oval, Joshua Williams and Rick Ziehl have split victories so far with Williams taking his first ASCS score on April 5 and Ziehl grabbing the win on May 3.

After a lackluster start of the year with engine failure haunting the No. 20z, Ziehl is currently tied atop the standings with Ryan Linder followed by Joshua Williams who's a tiny three points removed from the pair going into the Saturday spectacular.

Lance Norick holds fourth 38 points removed from the lead with Bob Ream, Jr. fifth.

In seven events contested in 2014, six drivers have emerged victorious with Rick Abreu's sweep of the season opening Cocopah Cup Challenge producing the only repeat winner so far.

This Saturday at the Tucson International Raceway will be run in honor of Jim Allen with admission only $15.00. VIP access is a $7.00 upgrade on the general admission ticket. Kids 11 years of age and younger are admitted free into the grandstands. Gates on Saturday will open at 5:30 P.M. (MT) with a car show before the races scheduled start time of 6:45 P.M. (MT). Support classes will include X-Mods, Dwarf Cars, Hornets, Factory Stocks, and Mini Sprints.
