    RPM and Cowtown Cancelled for This Weekend
    TULSA, Okla. (August 23, 2010) – A pair of ASCS Regional events scheduled for North Texas this coming weekend have been nixed, as Friday’s ASCS Lone Star card at Crandall’s RPM Speedway and Saturday’s ASCS Lone Star vs. Sooner event at Kennedale’s Cowtown Speedway have both been cancelled.

    The ASCS Lone Star Region has added the November 12-13 November Sprint Shootout at Cowtown Speeday to the schedule, with that two-day event also tentatively added to the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region schedule.

    The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region returns to action on Saturday night, September 11, at Mid-America Speedway in South Coffeyville, OK, with the ASCS Lone Star Region in action as well on September 11 at Kilgore’s Lone Star Speedway.
     
    Kolt Walker on the Last Lap for Showdown Win!
    MESQUITE, Texas (July 24, 2010) – Kolt Walker prevailed in a last-lap three-wide scramble for the lead to win Saturday night’s 25-lap American Sprint Car Series Gulf South vs. Lone Star main event atop the storied ½-mile Devil’s Bowl Speedway clay oval.

    After starting eighth, the Kermit, TX, native outdueled Gary Wright and Andy Shouse on the final circuit to snare his second career ASCS Regional triumph aboard the ASI-powered Jars Inc./Texas Moon No. 45k Maxim.

    Kulhanek Claims HOT ASCS Showdown Win!
    WACO, Texas (July 23, 2010) – Current American Sprint Car Series Gulf South points leader Ray Allen Kulhanek represented his series well by winning Friday night’s 25-lap ASCS Gulf South vs. ASCS Lone Star main event at Heart O’ Texas Speedway.

    The 2005 ASCS Gulf South champ raced from the front row outside starting position to claim his first win of the year and tenth Gulf South score of his career in the opening leg of the Gulf South vs. Lone Star Showdown.

    Estes Earns Red River Challenge Honors at Cowtown
    KENNEDALE, Texas (July 17, 2010) – Claud Estes became the second first-time ASCS Red River Challenge victor in as many nights by topping Saturday night’s 25-lap ASCS Lone Star vs. American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region main event atop the high-banked, ¼-mile Cowtown Speedway dirt oval.

    The ASCS Lone Star rep from Godley, TX, fought off past ASCS Sooner champion Andy Shouse over the final rounds for the $2,000 triumph, his first in Lone Star action and first ASCS triumph since a Gulf South score at Waco’s Heart O’ Texas Speedway in June of 2004.

    Melton Revs Up First ASCS Win at RPM!
    CRANDALL, Texas (July 16, 2010) – Justin Melton captured his first career American Sprint Car Series feature win by cracking victory lane in Friday night’s 25-lap ASCS Red River Regional Challenge main event at RPM Speedway.

    In the fourth round of Red River Challenge action, Melton became the first ASCS Lone Star shoe to knock off the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region forces by taking the checkered flag aboard the Wells-powered Pro-Tech Service Co. No. 11 Triple-X.

    Sean McClelland Scores RRC Win at Lawton
    LAWTON, Okla. (July 10, 2010) – Sean McClelland struck a blow for the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Regional forces by topping the third round of the ASCS Red River Challenge at Lawton Speedway on Saturday night.

    The past ASCS Sooner Region champion led all 25 rounds of the ASCS Sooner vs. Lone Star main event en route to his 13th career overall ASCS feature win and first since a Sooner score in Oklahoma City in August of 2008.

    2010 Membership Registration Forms Available
    TULSA, Okla. (January 28, 2010) – Another action-packed year of American Sprint Car Series competition is just around the corner. And with that, 2010 Driver Registration forms are now available at www.ascsracing.com.

    Drivers planning on competing with the American Sprint Car Series in 2010 can register for just $150.

    Drivers do not have to be ASCS members to compete in ASCS sanctioned events, however drivers must be members to be eligible for contingency awards and year-end point fund monies and to be covered under the series' insurance policy.

    Crew members may join as well for just $100. Membership for drivers and crew members also assures a pit pass price of no more than $30 at any Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters event or any ASCS Regional event.

    A reminder to all drivers who are planning on participating with the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters in 2010, we need your new or updated profile information for the website.

    After we receive your information and you have become a member for 2010, your profile will be added to the Website's "Driver Profile" page for all to view throughout the season. It will also include your race-by-race stats for the 2010 race season, as well as results from previous seasons.
