Crawley Scores Lucas Oil ASCS Win at I-30!
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (August 28, 2010) – “Home field advantage” is a term generally reserved for the stick-and-ball sorts, but Tim Crawley offered up some solid evidence that home-track advantage can definitely come into play in Saturday night’s 35-lap Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters main event at I-30 Speedway.

Racing just a few short miles from his Benton, AR, home, the three-time ASCS National champion read some tricky track conditions to perfection and then battled past Brady Bacon on the 13th round en route to his first Lucas Oil ASCS National win of the year.

“We’ve been needing this,” Crawley commented before a raucous, near capacity crowd in victory lane. “To do this here in front of all of y’all, it’s all good.”

Hull Handles Lucas Oil ASCS at Tri-City!
PONTOON BEACH, Ill. (August 27, 2010) – Jerrod Hull took full advantage of every little opportunity that presented itself in Friday night’s Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National debut at Tri-City Speedway to pull off a stunning upset victory from the 19th starting position.

The Sikeston, MO, shoe steered clear of some opening lap carnage, snuck by some battling contenders on the low side in the middle portion of the race and then took the lead away from Brian Brown on the 21st circuit before checking out in the final rounds of the 30-lapper for the $6,000 victory, his second career ASCS National triumph and first since a Benton, MO, win on July 4, 1996.

Stewart Wins 20th Annual ASCS Knoxville Nationals!
KNOXVILLE, Iowa (August 7, 2010) – Bixby, Oklahoma’s Shane Stewart showed exactly why he is the reigning Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National champion by coming away with the top spot over the 102-car field at the 20th Annual ASCS Knoxville Nationals.

Stewart assumed the point ten laps into Saturday night’s 25-lap championship main event atop the ½-mile Knoxville Raceway clay oval and then survived a late restart for his second career ASCS Knoxville Nationals triumph worth $10,000.

Stewart beat Sammy Swindell and Jason Johnson to the checkered flag, with Dustin Selvage and Bronson Maeschen rounding out the top five.

Shane Stewart on the Last Lap for Friday Win!
KNOXVILLE, Iowa (August 6, 2010) – Shane Stewart put an exclamation point on Friday night’s 20th Annual ASCS Knoxville Nationals preliminary action with some last lap heroics to take top honors at the storied Knoxville Raceway.

After outdueling Randy Hannagan for the runner-up slot, the Bixby, OK, native reeled in race long leader Johnny Herrera and slid into the lead in turns one and two on the 20th and final circuit of the night for his 21st career Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National triumph and third of the year.

Stewart beat Herrera to the stripe, with Hannagan, 21st-starter Sammy Swindell and Brooke Tatnell rounding out the top five.

  •
Brian Brown Wins ASCS Knoxville Nationals Opener
KNOXVILLE, Iowa (August 5, 2010) – Brian Brown diminished a lingering bad memory from a year ago by racing to victory lane in Thursday night’s 20th Annual ASCS Knoxville Nationals preliminary feature event at the Knoxville Raceway.

The Grain Valley, MO, shoe slid past Zach Chappell for the lead on the second lap and led the rest of the 20-lap distance aboard the FVP No. 21 Maxim for his fifth career Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National triumph and first of this year.

The victory was also Brown’s first in ASCS Knoxville Nationals competition after falling just inches short in last year’s preliminary action.

  •
Shane Stewart a Lucas Oil ASCS Star at LA!
LA MONTE, Mo. (July 30, 2010) – It was all too fitting that a Rock Star reach victory lane in the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National debut at LA Raceway, as reigning series champion Shane Stewart snared his second win of the season by topping Friday night’s 30-lap main event.

The Bixby, OK, native took the lead away from fellow Sooner State shoe Zach Chappell on the 24th circuit and paced the final rounds aboard Paul Silva’s Wesmar-powered Rock Star Energy Drink No. 57 A.R.T. for the $6,000 victory.

It proved to be a case of being in the right place at the right time for Stewart, as Chappell suffered wing damage after a tangle in traffic on the 23rd lap.

  •
Bacon Best in Cottage Grove Finale!
COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (July 24, 2010) – Oklahoma’s Brady Bacon put a quick stop to Jason Johnson’s three-race winning streak by charging to victory lane in Saturday night’s 35-lap Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters main event at Cottage Grove Speedway.

The 20-year-old from Broken Arrow, OK, gunned into the lead at the outset and led the entire distance on the ¼-mile clay oval, taking the $6,000 triumph with a handful of lapped cars and nearly a half-lap between himself and runner-up Seth Bergman at the checkered flag.

Jason Johnson won Friday night's preliminary feature to make it three wins in a row before getting caught up in Saturday feature trouble.

  •
Johnson Banks $10,092 in Brownfield Memorial!
ELMA, Wash. (July 17, 2010) – Louisiana’s Jason Johnson is definitely enjoying the cool Northwest air, as he completed a sweep of the weekend’s Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National action at Grays Harbor Raceway by taking the $10,092 winner’s share in Saturday night’s 35-lap Fourth Annual Fred Brownfield Memorial championship feature event.

The 2008 series champion battled past Ricky Logan on the seventh circuit and checked out for his third Lucas Oil Sprint Car win of the year aboard the JJR Don Ott-powered Haynes/Pope Transportation No. 41 Maxim, besting the stout field that numbered 59 competitors over the weekend.
