TULSA, Okla. (July 1, 2009) – He never met a stranger. And he could be counted upon to greet you with a smile and an entertaining story or two of some form, whether it be one of the racing variety or otherwise.

But, fate stepped in three years ago today, cutting Daniel McMillin's life short in a car accident at just 22 years of age.

"The Wrench" and his cousin, known in popular culture today as Jesse "The Rocket" Hockett, had been virtually inseparable.

Rock 'N Roll 50 Headlines Huge Weekend!
TULSA, Okla. (June 29, 2009) – Fifty laps. It's a distance that none can recall in any past ASCS National event.

But, if all goes according to plan, that's what is in store as the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters makes its grand return to Riverside Speedway in West Memphis, AR, with this weekend's Rock 'N Roll 50.

While the Lucas Oil ASCS ranks mix it up at Riverside Speedway in West Memphis, AR, this weekend, there will be plenty of Regional ASCS fireworks this weekend including a Gulf South double at Texana Raceway Park, a Nebraska double dip for the Midwest Region, a Southwest show at USA and the Patriots and SOD square off at Ohsweken's Northern Summer Nationals.

Johnson Denies Bryant in McMillin Memorial!
ELDON, Mo. (June 27, 2009) – Prior to Saturday night's Third Annual Daniel McMillin Memorial at Lake Ozark Speedway, there hadn't been a repeat winner in nine Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters feature events in 2009 including a handful of Speedweek tilts.

It took the reigning series champion, Jason Johnson of Eunice, LA, to change that stat as he denied Tommy Bryant's eye-opening upset bid to top "The Wrench" McMillin Memorial for the third consecutive year aboard Lanny Row's Wesmar-powered The Shop Motorsports No. 41 Eagle, besting a stellar 53-car field in the process.

In Regional action, Charles Davis, Jr., pulled off a sweep of the Canyon Region at USA Raceway, Kevin Ramey became the first repeat Lone Star winner with a Cowtown victory, Roger Crockett conquered the Northwest vs. Rocky Mountain showdown at Great Falls, Jared Zimbardi made a Patriot statement at Stateline and Dustin Daggett proved unstoppable in SOD action at I-96.

TULSA, Okla. (June 26, 2009) - Four drivers cracked ASCS victory lane in Friday night's Regional action, with Eric Baldaccini, Dustin Daggett, Chad Humston and Jared Ridge each capturing wins.

  •
McClelland and Kulhanek Score Saturday Wins!
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (June 20, 2009) – A pair of past ASCS Regional champions cracked victory lane on Saturday night with Brian McClelland Ray Allen Kulhanek each earning wins.

McClelland, the two-time and defending ASCS Sooner Region champion, picked up his first win of the year with a Springfield triumph while past ASCS Gulf South champ Kulhanek subbed for a $3,000 score at Houston Raceway Park.

Saturday's ASCS Patriot go at Jamestown, New York's Stateline Speedway was postponed by rain to next weekend.

  •
Rilat and Hockett Take Friday Wins!
TULSA, Okla. (June 19, 2009) – Travis Rilat and Jesse Hockett picked off Friday night ASCS Regional wins as the Sprints on Dirt were rained out in Michigan.

Rilat took the lead away from Kent Lewis, Jr., midway through Friday's main event at Beaumont's Golden Triangle Raceway Park, while Hockett raced forward from the seventh row to win the Budweiser Sprint Car Shootout at U.S. 36 Raceway in Cameron, MO.

  •
Smith, Crawley and More Star on Saturday Night!
LAWTON, Okla. (June 13, 2009) – Make it five in five, as Nick Smith became the fifth different winner in as many nights of 17th Annual F&J Construction ASCS Speedweek featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car Dirt Series presented by K&N Filters competition by topping Saturday night's 30-lap finale at Lawton Speedway.

Smith took the lead away from Tim Crawley on a lap 16 restart and led the rest of the way, taking the checkered flag in front of Gary Taylor. Crawley just made it to the finish in third with a nearly flat left rear, good enough to secure his second ASCS Speedweek championship.

In Regional action, 14-year-old Joshua Hodges became the youngest feature winner in ASCS history by topping the Rocky Mountain Region at Sweetwater Speedway, Dustin Daggett took his fifth SOD win of the year at South Buxton and defending Patriots champ Bryan Howland snared his first win of the year with a last-corner pass at Canandaigua.
