Bio Notes and Stats: A new decade marks a new beginning of sorts for “The Ragin’ Cajun”, as Jason Johnson fields his own No. 41 Jason Johnson Racing team in pursuit of the $60,000 Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters championship in 2010.

Starting his Sprint Car career in 1995, Jason's ASCS roots run deep with his first National win coming at Rusk, TX, on July 18, 1998. Jason ran the full National series for the first time in 2000, ranking a strong third in points.

After stints in Iowa, Pennsylvania and elsewhere, Jason returned to his ASCS roots in 2006. And that four-year stretch that leads into this 2010 season has been nothing short of remarkable with a series championship in 2008 flanked by three runner-up point finishes.

Thirty-three of Jason’s 43 career Lucas Oil National wins have come over the past four years, easily tops amongst the series during that time span. And there have been plenty of big wins along the way, with a second ASCS Speedweek championship, a Brodix Tournament of Champions triumph, a Ronald Laney Memorial victory and then a $50,000 bonus for topping two legs of the three-race Ollie's Challenge in 2008 alone to go along with a Short Track Nationals triumph in 2006.

Jason even topped the win charts with the highly-competitive Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series in 2009 with four victories, although he fell just 25 points shy of posting back-to-back championships.

Jason has taken full advantage of his off weekends as well, adding another 27 ASCS Regional wins over the past four seasons. Jason has tallied 60 overall ASCS wins in 169 starts over the past four years.

Jason has even wreaked his share of havoc "Down Under", picking off Australian wins over each of the past eight years.

Jason hits the track with a new combination of Don Ott horsepower and Maxim chassis as he vies for a second Lucas Oil Sprint Car National championship in 2010,

Career Lucas Oil Sprint Car National Stats (through 2009): 196 Feature Starts; 43 Wins; 128 Top-Fives; 165 Top-Tens
